Also, yes! I was talking with Onee for a bit and we decided to have some lunch! She was talking really weird about her German babe girlfriend so I thought maybe she WAS the danger the posters were making her out to be.

But it turns out Onee had been brainwashed into brainwashing HER to be her girlfriend. So she's.... relatively safe, I suppose. I tried to snap her out of it but Onee tried killing me and I was told to NOT try and fight or hurt people for a bit so.

I can probably go back and fix it now that I'm expecting a fight~

"Oh, yes. That is an unfortunate fact of my existence~" The smile at least droops for a second as it feels sorry for itself.

"Well, I was talking with your sister and she was behaving... Rather oddly about her 'German Babe' girlfriend. So I took it upon myself to investigate. Long story short? Onee was brainwashed to eventually end up brainwashing Fran into being her live-in girlfriend and tried to kill me after I tried to pull Blondie von Strudel Brain out of it."

He stares.

And stares some more.

He opens his mouth.

And closes it again.

He reaches a hand up.

And drags it down his face, you think you can hear some murmuring along the lines of "lousy goddamn deadbeat sister"

"Well, that explains with Miss Hartmann went... Ugh, Onee..."

"And then I thought it'd be prudent to come here and inform the authorities on the whole incident."

You can feel him trying to fight to get the word out.

He's bringing up files, probably seeing who he can spare to watch the station while he's willing to go out and drag back his sister.

Another giggle at this struggle. Maybe being a hero will be BETTER if everyone reacts this way. ...going to have to balance it with making Onni more uncomfortable.

"Oh! Don't worry about that officer~ I ALSO saw that you were looking for volunteers to help your department? So I took it upon myself to fill out this application as a 'Junior Volunteer.'"

"You wha-"

You can see his jaw set, looking at the form, did they really.

They totally did. God dammit. GOD. DAMMIT.

"That's... very appreciative of you."

Eyebrow twitching as he looks over your application.

Unfortunately it is filled out perfectly except the sex part (it's marked Yes, followed by some question marks). They even have some impressive qualifications. Some pretty solid background in magical theory and duel spirit studies, a dual degree in History and Anthropology, an array of thaumaturgical skills. Really, on paper, this is fantastic.

"I mean, I know you guys are short handed, and I don't think you have anyone with my skills~ So I thought I'd offer myself for any position~"

I have been bureaucratically outmaneuvered. For this, I will never forgive you.

He sets his jaw, looking up at you, glancing you over. He looks back at his screen, typing some stuff up, looking things over, hitting a few keystrokes.

"...Is anyone else already planning to investigate this disturbance with you. Junior Officer Adams?"

That last part sounds so strained that breaking fake hollywood glass would be easier.

That's the problem with you lawful good types.

The smile is wide and all-consuming when you look up, but goes back down to normal.

"Samasu Shian, I believe. He had a personal stake in Fran."

"That sounds about right, that'll be perfect, then."

He scribbles some details in, his face regaining its composure as he grabs a stamp, viciously slamming it into your paperwork, and sliding it through a photocopier, giving you two copies back and keeping the original. The stamp says in big bold letters PROBATIONARY APPROVAL.

"You are approved for Junior Volunteer Officer duty in line with the Domino Police Special Investigations Team's recruitment effort. Because of your past... transgressions, you are on probationary duty for no less than one month. Your probationary supervisior is Samasu Shian, who, while not officially part of the Special Investigations department, is considered a noteworthy and trusted ally, with permission to act on our behalf.

Samasu Shian is to be notified of this arrangement immediately before your next assignment, and you are to follow their lead on any assignments either of you get involved with. At any time, should Shian not be satisfied with your performance, you may be brought before the Special Investigation department and interred for twenty four hours as we review your record."

"If all of this is acceptable... well, welcome to SpecInv."

They nod as the listen, for once looking normal and not like they're about to come back with some innuendo or trolling.

"That's fine~ Samasu Shian looks like they're a really fun person! And! I'm fine with this arrangement~ I didn't think it'd be anything less."

It makes a SQUEEEing noise and dances a little.

"I'm so excited to be part of this, I won't let you down Officer Haitayuu!"

He winces visibly. Whether that's because of you bringing up his embarassing last name or because of your shrill noise of excitement is a question best not pursued.

"Yes, well, good. I'm... looking forward to seeing how you perform, Adams."

He is definitely expertly hiding in the fact that he is going to rant to Niyo at the watercooler later, long, long after you leave the station.

"I'm looking forward to working with you all~"

It blows a kiss and winks at you as it slips out of the station.
